Vineyard: Situated in the hills of the north eastern part of Verona.
Grape varieties: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta
Soil composition: Clay, calcareous. Selection of the bunches during harvest followed by soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation at low temperature for 10-12 days. Peculiarity of this product is the following “Ripasso” of the wine on the Amarone pomace in February. Maturation takes place for approximately 12 month in medium and large size- oak casks followed by a minimum bottle refining of 2 month prior to release.
Characteristics: Nice ruby red in colour, the bouquet shows intense cherry and berry notes completed by a pleasant spiciness. On the palate the wine is rich, velvety and balanced, with good body and intensity.
Food pairings: Tasty pasta dishes, barbecue, game, aged cheese and smoked ham.
