Ruby-red in color, with an inimitable herbaceous nose reminiscent of freshly cut hay. A young, assertive wine, with a clean and persistent finish. The Refosco da Peduncolo Rosso (red-stemmed Refosco) grape from vines indigenous to the Veneto-Friuli region. Characterized by its red-berry vine that literally traces its name to the unique red color that its stems develop during the maturation of the grapes. From Refosco’s long grape clusters, comes an intensely ruby-red wine, with violet hues. With characteristic vinous aromas, the wine is full flavored, round, and dry.
Food Pairings: Perfect with beef, especially roasts; ideal also with cured meats like Speck di Sauris, goose salami, and Peta della Val Cellina sausage; as well as with traditional cheese from Friuli like Malga and Montasio.
